Guys, tonight, Andrew Zimmern's show, Bizzare Foods is going to Thailand. He did an interesting treatment of northern Vietnam in season 1, and we had quite a burning conversation about Andrew's quest to make Vietnamese food seem nice and exotic to Travel Channel viewers.

In the Thai episode airing tonight, he visits Phuket -- a resort island in Thailand. Over dinner with Pim of ChezPim.com, she told me that there's amazingly delicious food on Phuket. When I was going to school in Hong Kong in the early 1990s, Phuket was THE emerging resort spot in Southeast Asia. Over 15 years later, seems like it's still emerging to folks like Andrew Zimmern.
From the photo above, seems like Zimmern may look more bizzare than the Phuket locals.

Hasn't Bourdain already done this? I predict ant's eggs, Thai balut (if he gets up north), edible flowers, bplaa raa, and deep-fried bugs. Yeah, lots and lots of those.
